Most of the time, Red Sox and Yankees tickets will go for around 2 to 3.5 times face value. How well your team is doing, along with when in the season are two other factors that come into play. If it's almost time for playoffs, and your team is getting ready to clinch a playoff spot at home, you can bet your last dollar that those tickets will be very valuable to hold, and the "fair market value" will be higher than earlier in the season.
