Bourjos for Lannan?
There is a lot of speculation that the Nationals will deal John Lannan to the Angels for Peter Bourjos, with the Halos putting Mike Trout in center field. The Nats beat Lannan in arbitration last week and were said to be aggressively shopping the left-hander.
I'm sure it's just speculation, but I wouldn't want to see this go down. Lannan is a good pitcher, i think, and pitching is something you can never have enough of. But, it's a pretty short list of guys I'd trade Bourjos for at this point.

Australian Baseball
So I went to my first Australian baseball league game tonight.
Sydney Blue Sox @ Melbourne Aces
Aces won 7-2 and have now tied the best if 5 playoff series 1-1. I thouroughly enjoyed it. It's nowhere near MLB standard but there was cheap beer, chearleaders and plenty of scoring so you can't lose.

Where: Tempe, AZ
When: March 9th - 12th (All home games at Tempe Diablo Stadium)
What: You know the drill. Special Guest Speaker, Food, Drink and Fellowship. (Note: Hail Marys went under so we will be in a new location this year). March 10th at 4:00 PM (Saturday) will be the shindig. Sunday we will be let in for a Tim Mead state of the club speech and to watch BP early.

Build Me Up Buttercup
Seriously guys, how stupid is this song?
Worst idea the FO has had in a while and I seriously shudder everytime they play it during the 7th inning stretch. It's obvious this is their attempt to create something like how Boston has Sweet Caroline, but they definitely should pick a better song.
My thoughts? One Step Beyond by Madness. I know Chelsea FC over in England plays it after a big win and people go nuts. It's the perfect opportunity to get people dancing and having fun and it's an actual good song other than the pathetic one we play now.

So...how's the backup catcher position gonna shake out?
Will we see Conger getting the "day game after a night game" starts and occasional appearance in blowout games? Or will he get 2-3 starts a week? Is Wilson still in the picture?
I'm hoping we see Conger get 2-3 starts a week. I think he still has a good future.

When are they going to replace the picture of Vernon Wells at the entrance of Angel Stadium with Albert Pujols?

Rex Hudler returning to the broadcast booth?
According to Royals_Report on Twitter, Sexy Rexy appears to be the favorite to be the new color guy for the Kansas City Royals:
Hearing Fox Sports KC's top two candidates to replace Frank White as analyst on #Royals' telecasts are Rex Hudler and George Frazier...
Nothing official yet, but decision seems imminent. Sounds like Hudler is the favorite. More soon at http://kcstar.com.
Hudler and Frazier are both former big-league players with extensive broadcast experience, but neither has any ties to the #Royals.
